From a plain-language goal to a funded, self-correcting plan.

A1

Create a financial goal

Live
Who
Anyone who wants to turn "I want to save for X" into a tracked plan.
How it works
  1. A short intake captures the goal in plain language, what it is, a target amount, and a timeline.
  2. The flow builds a vision statement and a realistic budget (deterministic core, with an optional distilled-LLM pass).
  3. A gallery of inspiration images is generated, reviewed on one tabbed presentation screen, vision, budget, imagery in one place.
  4. On confirm, the goal is persisted and calendar milestones are created.
The benefit
A vague wish becomes a concrete, funded, tracked plan in one guided sitting, instead of a spreadsheet no one opens again.
A2

Watchlist, accumulation plans & the projection

Live
Who
Someone who wants to track the investments behind a goal and see where the plan leads.
How it works
  1. Track symbols on a goal watchlist, or an unlinked personal list a home gadget aggregates.
  2. A watchlist item can carry an accumulation plan, "invest this amount every period".
  3. The projection overlays three curves: expected growth at plan time, the actual tracked value, and a live re-projection anchored to where the plan really is now.
The benefit
Tracking a stock becomes a concrete plan to invest in it, and the person sees honestly whether reality is keeping up, not an optimistic straight line.
A3

Connect & link real holdings

Live
Who
Someone who wants their real brokerage accounts to fund and track a goal.
How it works
  1. Link a brokerage through Plaid (holdings sync automatically) or add a holding manually, in the same guided flow.
  2. Allocate a real holding to a goal as a position, brokerage truth and goal allocation stay distinct.
  3. Allocating stamps the position with the holding that backs it and never re-points or edits the underlying holding.
The benefit
The goal's progress reflects the money that actually funds it, while the true brokerage picture stays intact, no double-counting.
A4

Personalized goal images

Live, self-only
Who
Anyone creating a goal who wants the inspiration images to feel like their future.
How it works
  1. In My Account, any user can add a photo of themselves, a generic, consent-gated account capability, not the investments package.
  2. The goal flow opts in: it resolves the user's self-reference and conditions image generation on it, preserving their likeness.
  3. Best-effort and non-blocking: no photo, or any error, simply generates images normally.
The benefit
The picture of the payoff can actually look like the person whose goal it is, while the biometric data is treated with caution, self-only, consent-gated, hard-deletable.
A5

Stock research & the index heatmap

Live
Who
Someone deciding what to add to a watchlist or goal.
How it works
  1. Single-stock research assembles fundamentals, technicals, growth, news sentiment, and a statistical forecast, five of six steps deterministic, only the summary may touch an LLM.
  2. Index research scores sentiment and volatility across sectors and renders an index-by-sector heatmap with drill-down.
  3. The forecast uses signal weights learned from realized outcomes, recorded into a feedback ledger.
The benefit
Research that leads with real fundamentals and an honest, self-correcting forecast, plus a heatmap that turns "where is the action" into one glance.
A6

Financial DNA

Live
Who
Someone who wants recommendations tuned to how they actually behave with money.
How it works
  1. A 16-screen, 6-phase behavioral assessment computes a risk and persona profile from the answers and their timing.
  2. It derives deterministic recommendations, a target allocation, a strategy, and guardrails.
  3. The target allocation is what advisor portfolio review measures drift against.
The benefit
Advice grounded in the person's real risk temperament and decision habits, not a one-size questionnaire.
A7

Adaptive predictions & track record

Live, premium
Who
Investors who want forecasts that own their accuracy.
How it works
  1. Forecasts are observed when their horizon elapses and scored against what actually happened.
  2. Per-signal credit or blame reweights the ensemble on the next run, so future weights can change as evidence accumulates; improvement must still be measured.
  3. The track record is surfaced so the person can see how the model has actually done.
The benefit
Recorded outcomes let readers check forecasts against reality; improvement still has to be measured.
A8

Read the daily Financial Digest

Live
Who
Readers who want a clear starting point for the trading day.
How it works
  1. Open Investments, then Financial Digest, for the summary and the 20-stock selection.
  2. Read the selected company charts, then open the full report for every stock, source, and forecast range.
  3. Treat relevance, price direction, and confidence as separate signals. Use the dated evidence to form a view of your own.
The benefit
A shared daily briefing gives readers a starting question and the evidence to explore it.
A9

Subscribe by topic and control your newsletter data

Live
Who
Readers who want the briefing in their inbox.
How it works
  1. Choose a domain and newsletter topic through the signup page or the supported email route.
  2. Follow the confirmation email before delivery starts. Each delivery checks that the subscription is still active.
  3. Use the unsubscribe link to stop mail, or make a verified request to export or erase newsletter records.
The benefit
Readers choose what reaches their inbox and can manage the newsletter data held for that purpose.

Local work, disabled pending release

5

The assembled local UI has synthetic API/browser checks. These cards remain disabled; no authenticated deployment, delivery or activation is implied.

L1

Due actions on Home

Local, disabled
Who
Returning users, after integration and release approval.
How it works
  1. Home catch-up and its runtime source are assembled. The staged Home override replaces the same page; config seeding and current runtime flags still need local deployment verification.
  2. Home will show authorized due actions with reasons and direct links, plus dismiss or snooze. An empty day is distinct from a failed read.
  3. No second top-level catch-up feed is introduced.
The benefit
One daily starting point for useful actions.
L2

Community requests and reminder choices

Local, disabled
Who
Synthetic local users while release gates are tested.
How it works
  1. A saved community request receives a receipt at the staged /page/community_requests destination. Provider acceptance and staff review remain separate; the integrated mail adapter is dormant.
  2. A saved item reminder alone sends nothing. Proactive master, category, channel, item, access, and event state must all allow delivery.
  3. Newsletter signup is separate consent. Shared event participants choose independently.
The benefit
Clear request status and personal control without implied sharing.
L3

Sector communities and Saturday discussions

Local, disabled
Who
Future authorized community members.
How it works
  1. The existing Tools menu opens Rustle. Its capability-gated community directory leads to /rustle?community=<id>, using approved posts and your own pending submissions.
  2. Synthetic mobile journeys exercise the same Rustle discussion, explicit Acorn draft handoff and one submission for review. Exact reviewed reply publication and the full section 20 journey remain separate gates. Saturday sector posts are not Saturday newsletters.
  3. One owning community and visible audience are required. Personal inboxes, holdings, and private thesis evidence are never imported.
The benefit
A focused discussion with an explicit audience.
L4

Private research and shared goals

Local, disabled
Who
Authorized synthetic local users.
How it works
  1. Open Your research inside Rustle at /rustle?view=research. The private journal and watchlists do not require a community.
  2. Promotion uses the existing investment-thesis form and creates a private thesis. The community receives no thesis title or evidence.
  3. Review a shared-goal invitation, accept its exact current fields, then save your own reminder choice. Master notification consent is unchanged.
The benefit
Keep personal thinking private while choosing exactly what to share.
L5

Connections and sector previews

Local, disabled
Who
Authorized local users after their separate capability checks.
How it works
  1. Rustle Connections uses explicit profile/privacy choices and accepted requests. Direct messages have a separate policy and capability gate.
  2. Sector previews at /rustle?view=roundups supports following and the latest available preview. Pilot generation stays held without approved sources; publication and automatic publication remain off.
  3. The directory saves plan-default, hide or show sponsored-post choices. Labels persist; no payment or placement is activated.
The benefit
Separate communication, following and display choices without implied consent.

For advisors

1
B1

Advisor portfolio review

Live, enterprise
Who
Advisors in an enterprise reviewing client portfolios.
How it works
  1. A scheduled scan measures each portfolio's drift from its Financial DNA target allocation (deterministic).
  2. On drift, the system produces an AI-drafted rebalancing recommendation over deterministic numbers, with a template fallback.
  3. The draft is routed to the advisor queue as a real assignment with an SLA; an advisor claims, reviews, and approves it.
The benefit
Drift gets caught automatically and lands on an advisor's desk as a ready-to-review draft with a deadline, so portfolios are kept in line proactively.

For platform operators

3
C1

Daily growth scheduler

Live
Who
The platform running goal tracking on everyone’s behalf.
How it works
  1. A daily job values every tracked item, from real linked positions where they exist, or a forward paper accrual otherwise.
  2. It writes one idempotent value snapshot per item per day (re-runs never double-buy).
  3. It rolls the latest per-item value into each goal's current value and progress percentage.
The benefit
Goal progress moves on its own, every day, grounded in real prices and real holdings, an honest picture with no manual effort.
C2

Portfolio snapshot pipeline

Live
Who
Operators keeping the portfolio dashboard history current.
How it works
  1. A daily scheduled workflow writes a portfolio value snapshot for each user.
  2. The snapshots build the time series the portfolio dashboard charts render from.
The benefit
The portfolio view has a real, accumulating history to show, kept fresh with no manual effort.
C3

Macro board snapshots

Live
Who
The platform keeping a memory of what was moving the world, and when.
How it works
  1. A scheduled job scans world news across the curated macro taxonomy and checks each theme against the instruments that would move if it were real.
  2. It writes one compact capture, the ranked themes, their impact, evidence counts and the market’s verdict on each, small enough to keep for years.
  3. The newest capture feeds the forecasting engine as bounded macro attributes; the accumulating series is the board’s own track record.
The benefit
The macro picture is recorded whether or not anyone is looking, so the forecaster is fed on a schedule and the board can be scored against what the market actually did next.

What we are building towards

4

Published deliberately. We do not claim a predictive edge we have not measured, and the work below is ordered so that each step can be judged before the next one starts.

R1

Prove we can detect an improvement at all

Evaluation tooling in source
Who
Anyone who wants a number from this platform they can rely on.
How it works
  1. The existing oak-forecast evaluation harness and Investments adapter report effective sample sizes and date-block uncertainty for overlapping forecast windows.
  2. Purged, embargoed validation is available to separate overlapping labels from training evidence; each reported experiment must show which checks actually ran.
  3. Baseline comparisons include buy-and-hold, momentum and persistence. A missing baseline remains unavailable rather than silently counting as beaten.
The benefit
Every accuracy figure the platform reports comes with its sample size and its uncertainty, and can honestly say "we cannot tell yet" when that is the truth.
R2

Give the engine a real memory

Planned
Who
The forecasting engine, which currently learns only from what it has lived through.
How it works
  1. Reconstruct years of point-in-time market history, data as it was knowable at the time, not as it reads today.
  2. No survivorship bias and no restated fundamentals leaking backwards: a model must not be trained on facts that did not exist yet.
  3. Regenerate the training corpus over decades rather than months, and re-judge every existing signal against it.
The benefit
Decades of evidence instead of a season of it, the difference between a model that has seen several market regimes and one that has seen one.
R3

Read the direction of travel, not just the level

Planned
Who
Investors who care that a theme is intensifying, not merely that it is loud.
How it works
  1. Add velocity and acceleration to the macro signals, and detect the moment a theme becomes unpriced rather than only reporting that it is.
  2. Compare every input against what was expected, so the engine sees surprise rather than level.
  3. Detect the market regime and judge each signal within it, because a signal that works only in calm markets is a finding, not a failure.
The benefit
The system can tell a story that is building from one that has been priced for weeks, which is the difference the macro board exists to surface.
R4

Know when it does not know

Planned
Who
Anyone acting on a forecast.
How it works
  1. Replace a bare confidence number with calibrated intervals that carry real coverage guarantees.
  2. Let the engine abstain: make a call only on the days the evidence supports one.
  3. Show why, a per-forecast explanation of which signals drove it.
The benefit
Fewer forecasts, each worth more, and the honesty to stay silent rather than guess, which is the defining habit of a well-informed investor.
